New sink/counter for wife's new studio

Wife wanted a new sink and counter for her new music studio where she teaches piano. We had her teaching at home until it got to big with our youngest daughter teaching some as well. Got to 60 students and had to get them out. Bought a house around the corner on a main street, gutted and finished the basement as her studio and needed a kitchenette.
My wife has always taught on a grand piano, bought our daughter a cheap one that never held a tune and spent more tuning than what it was worth. When we moved to the studio the cheap one wasn't welcome so I had to do something.
I gutted the strings/harp, pulled the keys and mechanisms and went to work. It used to be faded white when I started. Found a bowl sink and black taps, glued pieces together that weren't and split others that were to make drawer fronts for drawers I hand made with drawer glides. after many hours here it is in my shop with a bunch of dust from sitting to long waiting to move over to the studio.
I thought of using the pedals as the hot and cold water controls but would have gotten too complicated.

When it was almost done I started work on the back end of the piano, turns out the reception desk knee wall was the same height as the piano so I finished the back of the piano and attached it to the desk so it looks like the receptionist is sitting behind a grand piano when you come in. I made the lid so it lifts for storage with lift cylinders to hold it up. They now have a candelabra sitting on top to the side of it.

Before I started I googled using any words or phrase that I could think of but couldn't find anything like it, so either someone has one and not posted or this is a one off one of a kind. I have seen similar things, a square grand piano with a gas cooktop, a grand piano on its side as a book case, an upright piano as a bar-desk-bookcase-fish tank etc.
Nothing like it and with the back half just to the left at the reception desk, I think it is a true one of a kind and still gets comments after being installed last spring. I will get pics of the desk soon.
I even have before, during and after pics of the studio gut and rebuild that I could post if wanted.

That is great! Very well thought out and it looks fantastic. I like the fact that the basin plumbing is hidden too. Very nice. :congrats:

I, for one, would love to see the redo of the studio. I love home improvement. :fing32:
