Re: My Homelite st185 ebay score
I have two of the old Homelites similar to those myself. One I bought new back I think around the late 1980's and still works well although I've had trouble keeping the fuel from leaking from around the fuel lines after replacing them. Any sealer I put around them seems to hold only temporarily. I'm going to look into replacing the tank with the lines included as mentioned in another thread. The second unit I picked up about 6 years ago is in a little rougher shape but have intended to get it back running as well. It took on a lot of corrosion from setting in a building with the roof leaking on it and also needs fuel lines. I think it is still otherwise fixable without too much trouble. They were really durable and good running units for just cheap models when new. As long as I can find parts I hate to give up on them.
Edit: Just looked and the one I bought new is an ST-145 and the second one is an ST-155.
