I have a 1995 Dixon 560 commercial with a Kohler MV20 magnum. My issue is driving on hills. The breather is installed on the left cylinder valve cover, and has a hose going to the air filter. When driving on left hand hills, or traveling up hills the engine will suck oil out of the breather into the air filter and start blowing huge clouds of white smoke, with associated stalling and general buffoonery.
My question is can I unhook the breather and put a foam filter on it? I would also plug the hole in the air filter housing. Thanks for the help guys.
