What's the name of the stuff, and does it meet the same specs as Hy-Gard?
Price sure sounds good. Mine takes just under 3 gallons of the stuff.

Re: Napa Has a replacement oil for HY-Guard J20C

It seems around here a ton of places have Hyd oil that meets that but I cant find any that meats LV HG. I know for a fact, autozone, advance and TSC all have fluid to meet hygard.

Let me ask this then--I was in the local JD Dealer this week getting some parts--and they have two varities of Hy_Gard oil--what is the difference?
I didn't have time to stop and read the fine print....

Re: Napa Has a replacement oil for HY-Guard J20C

Most if not all of the newer JD tractors all run LV HG. Thats what I decided to use in my 317 and its been working perfect. When I bought the neglected tractor it had the origional filter and Type F fluid from 1982. It was also a tad loud. After running a new filter and the LV the whine almost disappeared along with the jerkyness.
