Re: John Deere 155C

it is a good tractor for light yard work on up to a couple acres of lawn. it won't do dirt work, but will pull a spreader/sprayer/aerator no problem. if that is not a mistype, 600.00 is a GREAT price for it!

Re: John Deere 155C

Thanks Davidg. No it not a misprint it was $600.00 As for the HD work I have a Massey MF30. That Deere is just for mowing the brush.
Do you know what the 155c would be in the La series?? This 155C and the 48 inch deck with the 25Hp Birggs.

Thanks Don

600$ for a new ANYBRAND Mower is a good deal! But the JD that Home depot sells arent the same as the ones you get at the dealer. I think they are made by MTD if im not mistaken, but i could be wrong. Good luck with your tractor and how bout some pics of the Massey! Welcome!!!

you are wrong there. they are made by JD. and are the EXACT same ones available at the dealer. the difference is the L/LA lines are the low end line so not the same edurance/quality as the higher deere lines. deere makes them to compete with mtd/ayp/etc.. and they are of about the same quality as those if not a little higher.

Re: John Deere 155C

I just sold my 155C this year. If you got it new for $600, you got a heck of a deal. I paid $2500 for mine a couple years ago. It was a good mower, but I needed something with a stronger tranny for my steep hills. It'll haul the occasional cart, spreader, etc without any problems. I also thought it did a nice job mowing. Take care of it and I'm guessing it'll last a long time. Enjoy!
