what should the compression readings be on b48g? thanks

Minimum compression is shown at 100 psi! And no more than 10 psi difference between cylinders.

most Onans run in the 100-110 range. My B48M (18hp version of yours) was 95 and 100

I pulled the info from the JD CTM not the Onan tech manual. Sometimes there can be differences between what is stated in those manuals.
