x300 can't get off the fly wheel cover, help!

Was going to get the x300 out for the first time this year to cut the grass. I opened up the hood and noticed that there is a lot of what looks like a mouse nest in the flywheel... I tried to unscrew the 3 hex screws with out any luck. I felt that I would strip the screws if I applied too much pressure. I put some PB Blaster on the screws as well and they did not budge.

Is that a special tool for this or some trick I don't know about to get them off?

Also I am guessing that it would be a dumb idea to start the tractor with this debris in it correct?

Thanks!

The fan housing & screen bolts are listed as 52 in lbs.

Remembr those screws/bolts turn counterclock wise to remove. You could get yourself a good chisel (not to big) and a small hammer and try tapping the screw/bolt out. If you haven't ever done it, you place the chisel blade on the screw/bolt head slanted so it would force the screw/bolt in a counterclock wise direction and then start tapping on the chisel end lightly. If I remember correctly you had put some PB Blasters on it yesterday, should be ready to come off now.
No special tool need, just a socket or nut driver.
