318 with 44 loader

I just acquired a 318 witha 44 loader and 3 point and i have a couple questions. What is the lift capacity of of the loader? Is there any wheel spacers for a 318 to give the back end a little width for stability?
Ps, I don't know why my picture is sideways, sorry.

Can adjust the rear wheel(s) spacing to the wide position (that's usually placing them so that the air valve stems are facing inside), which provides an extra 2-1/2" or so on a 318.

Re: 318 with 44 loader

Nice find. When I have some one come to the shop and ask questions like that.. I ask him/her to do the numbers.. How much weight Capacity On the front Tires/axels . That loader Probably Weights In at about 1500 Lds Complete. How much would you put in the bucket ???? I made a lot of Buckalu Scoops . The shipping weight was 127 LBS. Complete cylinders, Complete. All aluminum Except the cylinders/hoses; It is so easy to Over load those Pour Little tractors.. OH lets Put/hang a ton of weight on back . and really ruin this tractor...
Life is good..

Just hope the PRV in the hydraulics opens short of the load in the bucket breaking the front axle. You can shim the relief valve to allow more load, but not a great idea if you want the front end to last.

Re: 318 with 44 loader

You made a great find but you have a loader that will out lift the tractor. Most 318 loaders are of the smaller variety and the chances of overloading are limited by the bucket size on the smaller loaders. I would be real careful with the total weight you put on that old girl. Load the rear tires since that doesn't load the axles, but be judicious with the counter weight. I believe JD recommends about 500 pounds total. The front axle is another matter altogether.
