Want to verify Peerless tranny swap can be done.

Found a rough 130. Is this a direct fit into a 180.

My searches appears it does

Thanks

The main thing to check closely is the spindle that the shift lever bolts to. Some peerless transmission versions have a short shaft that positions the lever just above the case and others have a longer [ 3" maybe ] shaft that puts the lever much higher to better align with the layout of some specific shift hand lever design.

The 130 an 180 are basically the same tractor the only difference is the 180 get bigger tires and a bigger engine and of course head lights but the frame and transmission are the same.

See! THIS is the reason why you should just have Round Fenders, Sergeant! All LTGal has to say is "go use the cute tractors!"

Yet she always Manages to call Her Cub Cadet 2206 a Garden tractor & call My X748 a riding Mower. I always explain we Have two riding Mowers The Cub Cadet Test Model which became the Model 60 RER and the Simplicity wonder Boy.

There dropping off the 1025R tomorrow & Picking Up the 1969 JD 112 to do some governor & PTO clutch work and I having them Put new front tires on it as well since it's there. But there is No rush they work On the 112 when they Have time so It Maybe at the dealers 6 months or More. Once I get the 112 Back It getting Professionally restored and it will become a trailer queen
