Re: 425/45/55....x485?

That's a tough call. I do not know much about the tractor weather it's good or bad. It seems about going price. I don,t know your money situation or what you want to spend. I think we are all in the same boat that we want to spend as little as possible. But if you were gonna pay cash for it ,I would look at purchasing a new JD 1025R
.It comes with a Loader and a 60" auto connect deck and rear 3 point. Your half way there and you can finance it for 0 percent and 60 months. I think that would be a pretty low payment . I know I was looking for and they were all running about 8K plus. Just a thought.

Re: 425/45/55....x485?

This is too high in my opinion, at least for Midwest standards.

Loader - $2,400-$2,600
Tractor - $5,500

It's in the ball park, but without some other things on the tractor, like say the rear 540 PTO etc, the price is about $800-$1000 too high IMO. I'd say $4,750 for the tractor and $2,500 for the loader totaling $7,250 would be a pretty good deal overall.

Dang, that is low hours and the whole setup looks pretty mint. Out here in MA and New England in general JD prices tend to be higher. You are working through a dealer there. If it's not on consignment, they might be willing to negotiate more. Maybe you could work a deal on desired attachments like the blower/bagger combo.

It's priced too high for my taste at that price I'd rather buy a 1025r with a loader with the 0% for 60 months financing. You get a lot of extra goodies with the 1025r most of them are worth the extra money shoot the Diesel engine and 4wd is enough for me.

As outrageous as it seems, that price would be in line with what local area dealerships would ask for that setup. It's a highly desireable package and they're going to get their money for it. My guess is that someone will really want it and will pay at least close to it.

Re: 425/45/55....x485?

I suggest not calling or trying to get a deal. Decide what you are willing to pay, get the cash and walk into the dealer's store and make your one time only offer while pulling out the wad of $100 dollar bills. I'll bet he will take it if it is in the ballpark. You have to figure that he is hoping for $7500 but will probably take $7400. If you bought them separately it would be at least $7400 and then you would have to buy any extras that you would need to convert the tractor for the FEL. Good luck.

Re: 425/45/55....x485?

With the low hours it is not completely out of line if it truly has 220 hours. A package like that new would run between $14-15k and the new x-series won't accept a 45 loader, so that makes it more desirable. It's worth it to try to talk them down a bit, but good luck with whatever you do.

Holy buckets of high pricing batman..... I see $6,000. My average recorded sales price of X485's is around $3,300... with a high of $4,350. I'd say tractor s worth $3750 (accounting for condition and hrs) add $2,500 for average selling price of a 45 loader then subtract $250 for a package discount and you have $6000+tax, tag, title, nose picking tax, and other dealer and state fees.

YMMV.....

You would never get that set-up for $6000. Show me where you are getting your prices. Give me one example...CL ebay or wherever. Not a trade in value, but an actual current sale anywhere in the US.

Re: 425/45/55....x485?

Unfortunately, when it comes to pricing, New England is NOT the Midwest.
The only time around here you may stumble across that kind of package under $6500-7k would be from a seller that truly doesn't know the worth of the setup or someone who needs cash.

Did I say trade in value?

I said my average recorded sales price.... which come from eBay, tractorhouse, auctiontime, Purplewave, Craigslist, auctions I attend etc etc...... a whole spread sheet worth.

For instance. Here is a decent X485 I watched a couple weeks ago. Little higher hrs than the unit in question..... Sold for $3,330.... Like I said, decent unit at a dealer. Dealer tried to sell it for almost a year (from what I learned from my sales guy) couldn't do it so on Auctiontime it went....
