Trying to decide whether to use Field Trax or R4's for mowing and also for box blading work in the dirt? Anyone have any experience on which one might be better? I figure either is good for turf, wondering which one is better for traction in dirt.

-Ag tires would be superior for dirt work. Are they not allowed in this conversation? HDAP tires are a good all around tire, not perfect in any one condition but able to do most things pretty well. R4 tires are typically best for a lot of heavy lifting and hard surface work. They struggle with snow traction and are ok with mowing and dirt work. HDAP tires should have a softer ride due to fewer plys, but that would also make them more prone to punctures if you have any thorns around. My vote would be:
1. Ags
2. HDAPS
3. R4

I left the Ags out because most of the seat time on this tractor will be mowing (with some tilling and box blading and spraying) and the Ags would tear it up on tight corners and such. I know this because I have Ags on another tractor and as fun and grippy as they are, that grip comes with a price. So the HDAPS huh...

HDAP's would be my vote. I like my R4's on my x748 but it makes the ride when mowing painful at times.... I can't wait to put the HDAPs back on it!
