Help Mac eager beaver help needed.

Jezz; so many posts and none having to do with chainsaws.

I have a Mac 2.0 eager beaver (mac 100 series) and need to get it back together after replacing the fuel line. I am having a huge problem hooking the gas linkage back to the trigger. Any suggestions on what would make it easy?

Oh yeah.. Those things can be a nightmare until you get used to putting them back together.. I had the opportunity a few years back to intall a fuel line and in the process tweaked the linkage a tad so it didn't work right..

So guess what! I got to do it again and again until I got it back to the correct shape.. Once I did, I found information on how to do it correctly.. Unfortunately I lost it when my computer died a year or so ago..

I think I had to remove the back of the handle and install the housing with the linkage sticking through the housing then reinstall the trigger and spring. Then, I carefully reinstalled the handle back on while holding things together.. (top to bottom if I remember right..)

Hope this helps!

I had figured out there was no way of getting it back together without pulling the handle. I just need to get the dang thing to clip back in without starting all over again........ Thanks for the reply........
